What you need
A Mac, a few free tools, a Google Cloud project for the voice, Claude Code, and a web app to film.
Check these before you install Showreel Studio. showreel doctor checks most of them for you once it is installed.
On your Mac

Accounts
- A Showreel Studio account. You sign in with Google. People with your company's email domain join the same organisation. See How organisations work.
- A licence on your organisation. An owner attaches it once. See Sign in and attach the licence.
- A Google Cloud project with the Vertex AI API on, which you can use (the Vertex AI User role). The voice-over is billed to it. See Connect your Google Cloud.
An app to film
A web app that opens in Chrome: on your Mac (localhost), on a staging or live address, or a folder of files. Films of an app on your Mac are recorded on your Mac. An app the internet can reach can also be recorded in the cloud.
