Sign in and attach the licence
Sign your Mac in to Showreel Studio, and have an owner attach your organisation's licence key once.
Every command except a few (help, doctor, init, login, service and licence) needs your Mac to be signed in, and your organisation to have a good licence.
Sign in
showreel login --service https://app.showreelstudio.appA browser window opens. Sign in with Google, and your Mac keeps a sign-in token (in your home folder, readable only by you). The first time you sign in, you join your organisation:
- with a company email, the organisation for your company's email domain (or the one that invited you);
- with a personal email such as Gmail, an organisation of your own.
Attach the licence
An owner of the organisation attaches its licence key once, for everyone:
showreel licence attach SRS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXA key belongs to one organisation. If it says the key belongs to another organisation, ask Showreel Studio to move it.
Check it
showreel licence statusThis shows your account, your organisation, whether the licence is good and when it was last checked. Your Mac checks once a day and keeps working for seven days if it cannot reach the service. The web app's Organisation page shows the licence too.
