Make a deck
Start a slide deck in your kit's look, written for you from the app or its code, made from a film, or blank.
A deck is a set of slides in your brand kit's look, built to a single web page and a PDF. There are three ways to start one.

| Start blank | A title, a statement and a decisions slide to fill in. |
Before you start
- To write it for you: the app connected (Connect your app) or its code on your Mac (Give the writers your app's code).
- To make it from a film: a built film. See Build a film.
In the app
- Open Decks and click New deck.
- Give it a Title. The Folder name follows the title until you change it.
- Choose How should it start?
- For Write it for me:
- say What is it about?: the feature or product, and the point the deck should land;
- choose who it is For, or leave it as anyone;
- under Read, keep the app, explored in a browser ticked, give The app's code, or both.
- For From a film, choose Which film.
- Click Create the deck. Nothing is made until you do.

In the terminal
Start a blank deck:

The writer argues in order, one point a slide, with every claim from what it read. It marks each slide with labels for audiences, and with For set it writes for that audience. Screen slides only use pictures already in the deck. Writing replaces the slides, keeping the old ones beside them. See Who writes your scripts.
How a deck from a film is made
A title slide, the film itself (its frame large, linking to its share link when it has one), a journey through the lines when there are three to six, and a screen slide for each line with the picture it ends on and its words. A film marked Concept makes a Concept deck.
