Privacy notice
This notice explains what Showreel Studio keeps about you, why, where, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website, the Showreel Studio service at app.showreelstudio.app, and the software on your Mac.
Who we are

This website
- If you send the form, we keep what you wrote (your name, work email, company, website and message) to reply to you, and a one-way fingerprint of your internet address to stop abuse. We use it for nothing else.
- The site uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking scripts. It remembers the currency you chose in your own browser, and nothing about it is sent to us.
Your account and organisation
- When you sign in (with Google), we keep your email address, your organisation, your role in it, and when you were last here.
- For your organisation: its name, its email domain, its licence, its people and invitations, and a count of what it used (for example, recordings made and voice reads), so the organisation and we can see its usage.
Films, decks and recordings
- Films and decks are made on your Mac and stay there unless you share them. When you share one, or record in the cloud, the film, its storyboard, its frames and its check go to the service so your colleagues can watch and review it.
- Your films, storyboards and decks are yours. Showreel Studio staff see only how your organisation uses the product (names, counts, statuses, usage and recording logs), never your films, scripts or decks. Every change staff make is logged.
- A cloud recording runs your app in a browser on our service for as long as it takes, then the files are kept with the recording until you delete it.
Share links and views
A published film or deck counts its views without knowing who watched: the player sends a random number for the play and one for the browser, how far it got and whether it ended. No name, address, account or cookie is kept for a view.
Your own voice
If you make a voice from your own recording, it is made only with your consent, which we keep a record of, and it is deleted when you delete it.
Writing and the voice-over
Scripts are written on your own Claude plan in Claude Code, or on your organisation's own Claude API key, and the voice-over runs on your organisation's own Google Cloud project. Those providers handle that text under your agreements with them.
Where it is kept, and who helps us
- The service runs on Google Cloud. Its data is kept in London (europe-west2) and the service itself runs in Belgium (europe-west1).
- Google Cloud is our processor for hosting and storage. [Payment processor to be added when billing starts.]
How long we keep it
- Your account while you use it, and [period] after you or your organisation leaves.
- Recordings and links until they are deleted or withdrawn.
- Enquiries from this site for [period] after we last wrote to each other.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we keep about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Write to [contact email].
The software on your Mac
The software counts how often each command runs, on your Mac only; that count is not sent to us. It checks your licence with the service once a day.
